AI Detector
PRIVACY

Your writing stays yours.

AI Detector processes the text you submit to estimate whether it was written by AI.

What happens to submitted text

Live checks send your text to Jev through Vercel AI Gateway, with zero data retention requested. We do not store the submitted text in our database. Provider processing is governed by the provider’s policies.

What the application stores

Google sign-in provides your email address and basic profile to Supabase Authentication. We do not collect or store your Google password. API keys are stored as one-way hashes, with a short visible prefix. Usage records contain word counts, timestamps, results, timings, and identifiers; they contain no submitted prose.

Result caching uses a secret-keyed hash of the text and expires after 24 hours. IP addresses are converted to secret-keyed hashes for anonymous rate limiting. Usage records are removed after 30 days by scheduled cleanup.

Payments

Stripe processes credit purchases on its hosted checkout. We do not receive or store card numbers. We store purchase amounts, Stripe transaction identifiers, refund status, balances, and a credit ledger separately from the 30-day detection history.

Website analytics

We use PostHog in the EU to measure page visits and actions such as starting a check, completing a check, and opening checkout. Events may include word counts, response times, device information, and referring domains. They exclude submitted text, results, names, emails, API keys, payment identifiers, URL queries, and fragments. Session recording and automatic page-content capture are disabled.

Analytics uses PostHog’s cookieless mode, with no persistent browser identifier or person profile. PostHog uses request information to calculate a daily visitor hash. We respect the browser’s Do Not Track setting.

Cookies

Essential session cookies keep you signed in. Analytics does not set cookies or use local storage. We do not use advertising trackers.

Your controls

You can revoke API keys at any time from your dashboard. Avoid submitting private or sensitive material you are not authorized to process.
